The Legacy of the Lakes Museum now has a new education and event center, the BoatHouse, which features a large event hall, built-in bar, caterer’s prep space, bathrooms, and a bridal suite. The adjacent paver patio and tent seamlessly connect the beautiful Legacy Gardens to the BoatHouse.
This community gathering space is perfect for weddings, business events, family functions, holiday parties, and more. “We are so excited to unveil our BoatHouse to the community and begin hosting a variety of events in the coming months,” says Carol Swenson, museum executive director. The BoatHouse is available to rent year round.
The Legacy of the Lakes Museum and Gardens is dedicated to preserving and celebrating lake traditions and legacies through exhibitions, education and collections of antique and classic watercraft, resort memorabilia and sporting equipment used on Minnesota lakes. The museum is open mid-May through October . The Legacy Gardens, featuring walkways, water features and native plantings, is included in Museum admission.
