Shine Ministries

Heidi Elder is the founder of Shine Ministries headquartered in the Perham, MN area.

First and foremost, Heidi is a devout follower of Jesus Christ.  Her purpose and passion is to love God and love the people He puts on her path.

Educated as an elementary teacher, and later trained by the John Maxwell Leadership Team, her mission is to shine the light of Jesus bringing the message of HOPE, LOVE, and LIFE through her speaking, teaching, mentoring, life coaching, and advocating the reading of the Bible in every community.

Public Speaking

Heidi has been privileged to travel and speak for the past twenty years to groups of all ages and backgrounds throughout MN and surrounding states.  

For the past thirteen years, Heidi has spoken on behalf of Stonecroft ministries, an international organization that spreads the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Heidi is also a member and speaker for C-Suite for Christ whose mission is to cover the world in Christ by unapologetically declaring to the world Whose we are by proactively creating faith-centric cultures in the workplace.

A firm believer in honesty and transparency, Heidi is real as she shares passionately what she has learned from life’s experiences and challenges (the good, the bad, and the ugly), revealing how they have “shaped” her into the person she is today. Her desire for sharing her message is to inspire each person that they might leave more encouraged, empowered, and equipped to fully engage in all facets of their personal life journey.

Biblical Life Coaching

Utilizing her High School cheerleading skills, Heidi chose to become a life coach to come along side people who are stuck and struggling in their present circumstances to propel them forward while asking thought-provoking questions and holding them accountable to their chosen action steps.

Bible Reading Marathons

Heidi has been involved with Bible Reading Marathons for nine years. Since 2020, Heidi has annually coordinated BRMs in the Perham community, and has since helped launch other BRMs in surrounding communities.  Her desire is for other communities to gather together to read the Bible in its entirety out loud decreeing God’s Word over their families, businesses, local government, schools, healthcare, arts & entertainment, and churches.

This is based on Isaiah 55:11–“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”

Published Author

Spring of 2018 she authored a book entitled TURTLE TALES that tells the adventure of Perham’s 40 years of International turtle races. TURTLE TALES 2 was written and published Spring 2019. Spring of 2020 she and her oldest grandson entered a children’s book contest and won.  Their published book is titled:  THERE’S A MOUSE IN GRANDMA’S HOUSE! WHAT SHOULD WE DO?

All three books can be purchased from Heidi or on Amazon. Other merchandise for sale includes long-sleeved children’s T-shirts, and caps for children and adults designed by Heidi.

Other Information

Heidi has utilized her gifts and talents in many facets of ministry.  Some include: children’s ministry director, worship leader, prayer team leader, women’s Bible study facilitator, teen mentor, and Moms in Prayer local coordinator.

Continuing education and training is of utmost importance to Heidi.  She has received multiple certificates from AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors), and continues to be involved with Bible study groups.

Heidi is licensed to counsel and marry couples (one man/one woman) in the state of MN.

Personal Life

Heidi is honored to have raised and trained up three children and is reaping the blessing of six grandchildren who are her pride and joy.

Heidi loves life and enjoys spending time with family and friends.  Her hobbies include: walking, biking, hiking, water sports, snowmobiling, skiing, cooking, baking, playing the piano, and frequenting coffee shops.
