Uhren Farm (pronounced ‘ern’) was established in 1900. Our beef cow herd has been settled over the last 10 years with genetics to encourage efficient animals that finish well on a grass diet. We winter graze too – so our animals enjoy pasture year round. Uhren Grass Fed Beef is completely grass fed and grass finished.
NO chemicals are used on our farm – on our animals or on our pastures! Our pastures are a combination of grasses and legumes — it’s not a monoculture! We do this because we believe there are health benefits to grass fed beef. There are a lot of unknowns about what animals are eating, and we know what our animals are eating. We know what our animals are being exposed to. We do everything we can so that you can be exposed to fewer chemicals through your diet. Studies have shown healthier omega ratios in grass finished beef.
Call to get on our schedule! We offer a limited number of animals each year, so contact us with the month you would prefer a whole, half or quarter beef. Animals are processed through the USDA inspected Perham locker. You will work with the locker to specify your meat cuts and pay them directly for the processing.

In the summer months, we are stationed at Holmes City Farmers Market from 8:30-11:30 every Saturday from Mid-May – September. The Farmers Market is located next to Trinity Church in Holmes City, which also serves a really good breakfast so come see us.
