A Charcuterie board [pronounced shahr-koo-tuh-ree] is the a perfect way to add some European flair for social hour appetizers or late night snacks. Treat your guests to a beautiful spread of cured meats, various cheeses, preserves, fruit, nuts, crackers and crostinis all displayed on a rustic board. These are truly so much more than a meat & cheese tray.

Mahrie Ohren, owner of The Garden Bar on 6th, spent two years living in England and while traveling found these upscale hors d'oeuvres to pair well with all types of wine and beer. Upon opening the restaurant in downtown Alexandria, she wanted to bring new life to the food industry and bring a little big city into our small town, while preserving the venue once known and loved as 6th Avenue Wine & Ale.

Find fresh, trendy and unique healthy food items on their lunch and dinner menus. Mahrie takes pride in using quality ingredients, both in food selections as well as fun cocktails. She  enjoys introducing people to new food items that are not commonly found in other restaurants in Alexandria.

Off-site catering of each Charcuterie Board is customized to your event, whether it's 25 professionals gathering for a business meeting or 300 guests for a wedding. Bring an elite element to any event, including grand openings, holiday parties or fundraisers.
